NUST CONDUCTED A FIVE DAY WORKSHOP IN COLLABORATION WITH COMSTECH AND ISLAMIC UNIVERSITY UGANDA

NUST in collaboration with OIC Standing Committee on Scientific and Technological Cooperation (COMSTECH), and Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU) organized a five day workshop on “Defining Research and Innovation Strategy for Excellence” during 27 February – 3 March 2023 at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU), Kampala.
The workshop was aimed to bring together professionals and academics of OIC countries of Africa to identify core competencies and focus areas within Research and Innovation framework, that aligns university research and innovation portfolio with national needs and global challenges.
The event was attended by more than 60 participant from different universities in Kampala. In addition to that more than 150 participants attended the event online. Dr. Rizwan Riaz, Pro Rector Research, Innovation and Commercialisation (RIC) and Dr. Hamood Ur Rahman, Director Research conducted the event as resource persons from NUST.
