NUST has undertaken nearly 1100 research projects since its inception. NUST has secured more than PKR 4.3 billion funds for the research projects through various national and international funding agencies / organizations​. The win ratio of the projects is more than  42 %. As a result of research funding NUST is now equipped with state of the art technology and well established labs which ultimately benefits its researchers, scholars, faculty, students, employees and also to various industries of Pakistan.
