IEEE Women in Engineering (WIE) is the largest international professional organization dedicated to the status and advancement of women in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics professions. WIE has an extensive network of Chapters set throughout the globe, with IEEE WIE NUST PNEC being one of them.

On the 12th of March 2022, IEEE Women In Engineering NUST PNEC Student Chapter conducted the highly anticipated multi-module competition, TechnoSquid. This mega Tech Competition was solely organized to provide a common platform to hundreds of intelligent minds from Karachi, where they could put their skills to good use and compete, learn, and grow with each other.

The mega tech-fest took place at Pakistan Navy Engineering College, NUST, and over 200 students from universities all across Karachi attended the event. TechnoSquid comprised four modules: Line Following Robot, Circuit Designing, CodeFest and Idea Pitching. The winner of each module received a generous cash prize of PKR 5,000 – PKR 10,000, as well as the glory of becoming the triumphant ones amongst a talented, competitive pool of participants.
