Topic of Research Seminar: Advancing Surgical Excellence Through Research & Collaboration
Abstract: Surgical telementoring (ST) represents a paradigm shift in surgical education, offering an innovative and scalable solution to global training challenges.
Research underscores the efficacy, safety, and feasibility of ST in skill acquisition, paving the way for future technological advancements in minimally invasive surgery. Further studies and international collaboration will strengthen the integration of digital platforms into clinical practice, ultimately improving patient outcomes and healthcare accessibility.
There is a need of randomized controlled clinical trials assessing efficiency of ST compared to traditional mentoring in the OR. We aim to explore the scope for collaboration in ongoing pilot-RCT between NLSH Bodø, Norway and SNS and NSHS, NUST, Pakistan.
