Seminars and Workshops Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Cyber Physical Systems and Intelligent Sensing

Topic of Research Seminar: Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning for Cyber Physical Systems and Intelligent Sensing

Abstract: Professor James Brusey is a Professor of Computer Science at the Centre for Data Science, Coventry University, where he leads research in Artificial Intelligence for Cyber-Physical Systems. His research expertise spans Machine Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and applied wireless networked sensing, with a strong focus on industrially relevant applications. His recent industry-focused research projects include vehicle thermal comfort systems (in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover), residential building monitoring and thermal comfort (Orbit Group), particle filter algorithms for flow measurement (TÜV-NEL), novel developments in linear discriminant analysis (TÜVNEL), network packet reduction algorithms under the EU-funded STARGATE project (with Rolls-Royce), decision-support systems for building monitoring, and sensing technologies for detecting falls and near-falls among elderly and infirm populations.
