Seminars and Workshops Biosignal Analysis for Human Cardiovascular Disease

Topic of Research Seminar: Biosignal Analysis for Human Cardiovascular Disease

Abstract: The “Smart Glove” project is an advanced wearable medical device designed to enhance patient monitoring and diagnostics. This glove integrates a stethoscope, allowing healthcare professionals to easily perform auscultation. A toggle switch within the glove directs power to one of two circuits: one optimized for heart sounds and the other for lung sounds. This dual functionality ensures that healthcare providers can precisely monitor specific bodily functions. The audio output can be transmitted to a PC for detailed analysis, and there is also an option to connect headphones for real- time listening providing versatility in various clinical settings.

The Smart Glove leverages the reliability and ease of use inherent in digital stethoscopes. It is designed to minimize noise and artifacts, ensuring that the captured sounds are clear and accurate. This feature is crucial for making precise diagnoses in real-time. Additionally, the glove includes emergency buttons, adding a layer of safety by enabling quick responses in critical situations. The project also features a custom- designed circuit, developed in Proteus, specifically for lung sound amplification and filtering, which enhances the clarity and reliability of the lung sounds captured. In summary, the Smart Glove combines convenience, reliability, and advanced technology, offering a sophisticated tool that could significantly improve the efficiency and accuracy of patient diagnostics. Its user-friendly design, coupled with its digital stethoscope’s noise reduction and artifact minimization capabilities, makes it an invaluable asset in modern healthcare.
