Seminars and Workshops Decays of Positronium States

Topic of Research Seminar: Decays of Positronium States

Abstracts: In a basic course on Quantum Mechanics we have learned that the Schrodinger equation is exactly solvable for Coulomb-like potential only for the hydrogen atom. However, systems with more than one particle needed some approximate method, and variational principle is one of the most elegant techniques. In this talk, I will discuss the formation of Positronium hydride, a system which is like the molecule of Hydrogen and Positronium. We also discuss different techniques to calculate its decays to a number of final states.
