Topic of Research Seminar: Geometric Modelling in Curves / Surface Designing

Abstract: Geometric modelling has been playing an important role in curve and surface designing. People have been developing different techniques in this area. In early nineties, computer technology was very slow rather incapable to plot, even, 2D curves. Mathematicians developed algorithms to cope with such inefficient computer technology. In 1959 Paul de Casteljau developed the subdivision algorithm, using which visualizing of 2D/3D curves was possible. One can say Mathematics and Technology go together to their role in contributing new areas of research
