Abstract: According to a report by World Green Building Council, buildings are responsible for almost 40% of global carbon emissions, making them the leading cause of Climate Change. There is a dire need to integrate climate considerations in architecture and Building Performance Modelling is a way forward.

Kashmala Imtiaz is an architect and researcher currently working as a lecturer at the School of Arts, Design and Architecture, NUST. Her work spans design, documentation, and research, particularly focused on the issues of spatial justice. She is interested in bottom-up design transformations with collaborations across various communal groups. Kashmala is also interested in exploring material and construction ecologies at the intersection of social sustainability.
