Abstract: According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, jobs in computer-based analysis are projected to grow 22 percent by 2030 (more than four times on average), with the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology fields leading the way. The talk will cover prospects in the field of bioinformatics include its future contribution to functional understanding of the human genome, leading to enhanced discovery of drug targets and individualised therapy.
