Topic of Research Seminar: Imprints of Physics Beyond the Standard Model Using Effective Theory

Abstract: The Standard Model of Particle Physics which describes the behavior of subatomic particles and their interactions, has been extensively tested and confirmed through a wide range of experiments over several decades. Despite its success, Standard Model cannot address some unsolved mysteries, such as the hierarchy problem, the Origin of the mass spectrum, the nature of dark matter, lepton flavor non-universality, etc. To address these unsolved mysteries one needs to go beyond the Standard Model. In this talk, I will discuss some of the questions which the Standard Model cannot address by using the low-energy effective field theory.
