Topic of Research Seminar: Intelligent Microrobotics for Biomedical Applications
Abstract: The integration of microrobotics with artificial intelligence is revolutionizing a wide spectrum of field such as biomedical engineering. Microrobotics, where microscale robots smaller than a human hair are designed to navigate through complex biological environments for diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical applications. By smart actuation techniques (such as magnetic, acoustic, chemical, or light-based propulsion) and advanced sensing systems, these microrobots can perform tasks like targeted drug delivery, minimally invasive interventions, in vivo diagnostics, and cell manipulation with high precision and control. Recently, more researcher have focused on the integration of machine learning with microrobots, which enables autonomous navigation, real-time decision-making, and adaptability in unpredictable physiological conditions. Techniques such as computer vision, deep reinforcement learning, and swarm intelligence are being employed to guide microrobots through dynamic and heterogeneous environments like bloodstreams or tumor tissues.
