Abstract

This seminar explores Steiner distances in graphs, focusing on their definitions, applications, and related graph parameters. It discusses the Steiner tree problem, heuristic algorithms, Steiner eccentricity, radius, diameter, and k-eccentricity including algorithms for computing Steiner k-eccentricity. Applications in chemical graph theory and the Steiner Wiener index are given, along with selected extremal problems and generalizations of classical distance parameters. The seminar highlights the significance of Steiner distances in graph theory and its applications.
