Topic of Research Seminar: Synthesis and Biological Evaluation of New Triphenylamine-Linked Pyridine and Thiazole Analogues as Anticancer Agents
Abstract: After cardiovascular disease cancer remains one of the leading causes of mortality worldwide, characterized by uncontrolled cell proliferation and metastasis. Effective treatment strategies are crucial for improving patient outcomes and quality of life. Current medicinal treatments encompass a range of approaches, including surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy, immunotherapy, and hormonal therapy. In this regard, heterocyclic compounds play a crucial role in the advancement of cancer therapeutics particularly emphasizing nitrogen-containing compounds, which constitute a majority of FDA-approved anticancer agents, serving as foundational structures in a significant proportion of currently approved anticancer drugs. The structural versatility of these compounds allows for targeted interactions with various biological pathways involved in cancer progression. Continued investment in this area is essential for overcoming current treatment limitations and improving patient outcomes.
