Topic of Research Seminar: The notion of Connectedness and Compactness in Filter Convergence Spaces: A convenient Approach to Beyond Topology

Abstract: Connectedness and compactness are one of the primary concepts of general topology. In order to generalize these concepts in a structure which embeds topological space, one may need to redefine them into a categorical language so that translation can be possible.

In this talk, we will define motivation behind connectedness and compactness, followed by redefining these into categorical language.

Later on, we will characterize these notions for a filter convergence spaces which embeds topology as its subcategory and examine their mutual relationship.
