Abstract
To explore the design and optimization of Mo-based transition metal dichalcogenide catalysts through anion substitution for enhanced hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) activity. This talk will highlight the tuning of S-to-Se ratios to optimize hydrogen adsorption energetics, supported by density functional theory calculations, and the development of MoS1.2Se0.8–CNT nanocomposites. The synergistic interaction between the mixed-anion TMD and CNTs enables improved HER performance, achieving an overpotential of 118 mV and a Tafel slope of 63 mV dec-1.
